About DBSA Dallas
DBSA Dallas is locally-run, independent affiliate of the National DBSA, which is the largest support organization in the nation devoted exclusively to mood disorders. The DBSA Dallas is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation run by "peers, individuals with mood disorders, and their significant others. The purpose of the corporation is to improve the lives of people living with mood disorders in the Dallas area." All meetings are free and open to the public, and you are invited to attend meetings and to participate without cost or obligation.
At an annual meeting designated for that purpose, DBSA Dallas Members vote for four Directors to one year terms on the Board of Directors. In turn, the Directors vote for four officers: (1) President, (2) Vice-President, (3) Treasurer, and (4) Secretary.
Presently, the Directors are: Ricardo Aguilar, Carol King, and Leondard Kolanowski. The current officers are as follows: (1) President Ricardo Aguilar, (2) Vice John Michael Alcala, (3) Treasurer Carol King, and (4) Secretary Leonard Kolanowski (5) Membership/Newsletter Paul Conant
